SmartSites has a product to suit your every need. Be it a standard HTML or a dynamic, managed or custom built CMS website, a Broadband or Dial-up internet connection or even web or e-mail hosting, SmartSites can make your website work for you while keeping costs within your budget.
- Fully Managed CMS
We have a variety of fully featured easy to use Content Management Systems that we can customise to suit the needs of your business. We can install and customise the CMS either on our servers with your domain or on your current hosting provider.
With this option we will take care of everything we can provide you with shared hosting with your own domain name if you have one and if you don't we will take care of the domain registration process for you. If you already have a hosting provider we can setup the site on your existing providers servers (They must support PHP and MySQL).
If your website content needs to change often we can enable your staff to login and create edit or modify website content with an easy to use editor from their web browser. No web development knowledge is required. It’s as easy as typing a letter in a word processor.
With the fully managed website plan, our staff is always on hand to deal with any questions or problems that may arise. We can also offer you email accounts using your website domain name if we host your website.
If you have an existing website we can also take care of the content migration so that you don't loose any data during the move.
- Standard Static Html Website
We also offer Standard HTML websites. These sites can run on any web server. A static HTML website is only recommended for very small websites that don't change content very often.
With a static website any changes to the content will have to be made by republishing the web page. Your staff will not be able to edit the website via a web browser; all updates will have to be done by a person with a sound knowledge of HTML and FTP.
Sites with more than 10 pages should not be static websites as maintenance and theme upgrading will become costly as each page has to be updated individually.
- Custom Built CMS
SmartSites custom built CMS websites are designed completely to your specifications and can contain and features that you may require either now or in the future. All content within the website can be easily edited by your staff via their web browser with the ease of typing in a word processor.

- Site Maintenance
SmartSites can offer you site maintenance when taking any one of our website solutions. We undertake to do regular backups of the site as well as link checking and content inspection. Should we find any errors, they can be immediately corrected with little or no inconvenience to your company or the website users.
Backup plans will differ depending on the type of website and the frequency that the content is changed.
- Static to Dynamic
SmartSites can assist you with your new dynamic website by migrating content from an existing website or other promotional material. No matter how big or how small the task we are willing to help you make the transition as easy as possible with the least amount of disruption to the web site users.
- Email Hosting
SmartSites can provide your company with Email hosting. If you have signed up with us for domain parking or we manage your websites hosting we can offer you email addresses with your companies domain name such as staff.member@company.com.
Your SmartSites email address can be accessed using most mail clients such as Outlook or Thunderbird. We also provide a webmail interface for staff to be able to access their emails away from the office.
- SmartSites Hosting
SmartSites is a web design company and do not maintain their own servers, however we can offer you hosting on a shared server with your own domain name. This is invisible to the web users and is extremely cost effective. All your staff can receive email addresses of their own and will have access to both fully functional webmail and the use of email clients such as Outlook or Thunderbird.
If shared hosting is not suitable for you we can refer you to approved hosting companies that have great service records and are extremely cost effective. We can create and setup your hosting account with these companies saving you time and money and giving you peace of mind.
- Domain Registration & Parking
A domain name is basically another word for a website address such as yourcompany.com. Domain parking is when you get a company to register your companies name as a domain name without creating a website there and then.
The importance of registering you domain name can't be emphasised enough. If your company doesn't register their domain name there is nothing stopping one of your competitors from registering your companies name as a domain name and either forwarding people to their own website or creating a website that is either slanderous or defamatory to your company.
By registering your domain name you ensure that nobody else can register and use your companies name for their website or email.
- Logo Design
Just as your receptionist is the face of your company and his or her appearance is taken as a reflection of the business, your logo is your identifier to the outside world. A poorly design logo can do your company immeasurable damage in the eyes of your potential client.
